Brandy recently found herself in a hilarious situation after a sweet fan moment that took a wild turn.
The Grammy-winning singer came in contact with a group of men who refused to believe she was actually the singer they recognized.
Instead, they accused her of working as a Brandy impersonator and seemed completely convinced she was putting on an act.
The “b7” singer shared footage on her Instagram Story after recording a car of two older men who had stopped beside her on Aug. 7.
One man immediately challenged her identity, saying, “You ain’t no goddamn Brandy. And you know it.”
Brandy laughed it off and played along, agreeing when one of the men insisted, “She’s an impersonator.”
Rather than argue, she carried on with the joke, telling both men that she was, in fact, a Brandy impersonator.
The “Full Moon” vocalist then encouraged the men to take a picture with her “in case you never meet Brandy.”
The group then tried to get a photo of the supposed impersonator. One man asked Brandy to take a picture of herself using his phone. She paused to figure out how to operate the device before the conversation shifted back to whether she was really the singer.
At one point, one of the men speculated, “This is not… No, man. That’s the real Brandy.” But the man in the passenger seat remained unconvinced.
Brandy eventually turned the question back on them, asking, “You still don’t believe me?”

When she asked again whether they believed her, the passenger hilariously remained firm on his response: “Absolutely not.”
The “Boy Is Mine” singer was amused by the entire exchange. Even after the men had photographic proof, they still refused to accept that they had made contact with the real Brandy.
The encounter quickly made its way into fan conversations, where viewers joked about the men’s inability to recognize the singer.
Some fans pointed to Brandy’s longtime connection to the hit sitcom, “Moesha.” Others simply enjoyed seeing her have fun with the unexpected interaction.

Brandy, whose full name is Brandy Norwood, is a Grammy-winning R&B singer, actress and songwriter who rose to fame in the 1990s. She is best known for her hit songs, including “The Boy Is Mine,” “I Wanna Be Down” and “Have You Ever?”
She also became a household name through her starring role as Moesha Mitchell on the hit sitcom “Moesha,” which ran from 1996 to 2001.
