‘Now Sue Trump’: Trump’s Reflecting Pool Fiasco Explodes After New Court Filing Blows Up His Vengeful Plot, Revealing the Damage Started Before the Arrest

Donald Trump is having. a meltdown after nothing being able to accept the truth.

The president blamed vandals destroyed the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool and then exploded online court’s recent filing.

Olympian David Hearn was arrested and indicted on a felony carrying up to 10 years in prison. But he just may get off with no charges due to the prosecutors newly-discovered evidence.

The Reflecting Pool, one of the National Mall’s most recognizable landmarks, stretches between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. Originally completed in 1922, it has undergone several renovations over the decades.

Trump launched the overhaul in April, but algae, dead ducks and peeling liner quickly plagued the project. Officials drained the pool again in July for repairs.

He claimed someone sliced the 300-foot liner with a knife, but a judge in court didn’t see it that way and he’s fuming.

Authorities later arrested Olympian Hearn on June 2, alleging he ripped it during a bike ride through the National Mall. He plead not guilty, insisting he only touched an already-loose section of the paint that was peeling.

Despite his denial, authorities indicted Hearn on July 2. His lawyers said search warrant photos showed the same liner damage before he touched it during a July 20 hearing.

But on July 31, U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro asked that a judge formally dismiss the case regarding new evidence.

A court filing obtained by CBC revealed that the evidence shows a “rushed and flawed installation process” caused the damage.

“Given all of this newly discovered information, it is difficult to attribute the widespread damage to the Reflecting Pool to vandalism, let alone to establish that fact beyond a reasonable doubt,” she stated in the filing.

That finding directly contradicts the deliberate sabotage prosecutors alleged just weeks ago. DOJ’s dismissal of the case marks an embarrassing setback for the Trump administration.

The POTUS had a meltdown once he woke up the following day and realized what happened in court.

“I disagree with Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, on the Reflecting Pool. I don’t know what she was thinking,” he wrote on Truth Social before 10 a.m.

Trump is now blaming vandals for ruining the Reflecting Pool and the grass nearby.

“To me, it was a pure case of vandalism that included the grass, which has 86 47 emblazoned in giant letters on it, and other components of the surrounding area. There may have been some contractor difficulty, but the major damage was caused by Vandals,” he continued.

Trump shared a second post that read, “Look for yourselves at the VANDALISM that took place at The Reflecting Pool,’ The material is being cut with a knife or a box cutter, for all to see!”

Friday’s filing said prosecutors later discovered Interior Department records showing contractor Atlantic Industrial Coatings repeatedly failed during installation as officials rushed to finish before July 4 for America’s 250th celebrations.

Those records undermined the original evidence, making it difficult to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that vandalism caused the damage.

The filing also referenced a National Park Service engineer’s June email warning that overspray during installation had created sections of the liner that were vulnerable to peeling—the same area where Hearn allegedly touched the coating.

Hearn’s attorneys blasted the prosecution, saying the government rushed to accuse an innocent man in a statement provided to PBS.

“Its dismissal today does not erase the abuse of government power in arresting and charging a patriotic American who did nothing wrong. The government’s approach was ready, fire, aim. The administration owes Mr. Hearn an apology,” the lawyer said.

Online, critics wasted little time piling on.

“So it wasn’t lefty vandals eh? What say you MAGA?” one commenter asked.

The pile-on continued as many blasted Trump for wasting taxpayer money on false accusations instead of admitting the truth.

“The government, especially DOJ Judge Pirro, should apologize and the falsely accused should sue,” another person wrote.

One final critic summed up the mood by writing, “Now sue Trump into oblivion for defamation and imprisonment.”

For an administration that repeatedly portrayed the Reflecting Pool fiasco as proof of rampant vandalism that began long before Hearn’s arrest.
