‘Unbelievable’: Trump Hit with a Bird Moments Before Court — Tries to Push Through a Stare Down, Then Abruptly Leaves as It Unravels

Donald Trump has an ego that thrives on applause for doing what no other president has done before, so his administration orchestrates unprecedented milestones to line his legacy with firsts.

However, Trump’s team never seems to have a smoke screen in place to distract from the humiliating trolling that consistently overshadows their disingenuous tactics.

The 79-year-old hoped to be perceived as a leader who takes charge in overseeing the direction of the United States; instead, he’s become an interference with justice and the Constitution with his latest stunt.

Years after questioning Barack Hussein Obama’s citizenship, Trump’s own appearance at a similar event is rich with irony, highlighting the gap between his past criticisms and his current actions.

Trump departed the White House on Wednesday, April 1, with one mission in mind: to ensure that Supreme Court justices upheld his restriction on birthright citizenship. His January 2025 executive order sought to deny citizenship to babies born in the U.S. to illegal immigrants and those who are in the country on a visa.

A critic remarked, “Trump’s presence at the Supreme Court isn’t a gesture of respect; it’s a calculated play for visual intimidation. By showing up in person for the birthright citizenship case, he’s demanding loyalty through his mere presence. A sitting president has no place looming over the law.”

The executive order is one of several actions Trump has used to crackdown on border control. “It’s absolutely ridiculous,” he said of the 14th Amendment protection. On Wednesday, he sat in the back of “The Beast” making its way through Washington, D.C., from the White House to the Supreme Court.

Along the way, Trump passed by protesters holding up offensive hand gestures and signs that read messages like “Donald and Barron the Trump the Children of Immigrants” and “Constitutional rights are not suggestions.”

According to a White House poll reporter, “One man saluted us with the double bird.” An IG Threads user wrote, “THANK YOU, PATRIOT!” as news of the insult circulated online. Oral arguments were reportedly as disastrous as the scene outside of the federal building, where support for Trump’s mission was minimal.

The White House tried to control the narrative by tweeting, “HISTORIC: President Donald J. Trump attends U.S. Supreme Court oral arguments on birthright citizenship, the first sitting president ever to do so” along with a black-and-white photo of Trump escorted into the courtroom by the Secret Service.

The president lasted one hour, sitting in the front row as Solicitor General John Sauer presented reasons to support the executive order. One person assumed he left “during oral arguments as they are not going well for him.” A response to the comment reads, “He showed up expecting intimidation and got the unfamiliar experience of adults doing their jobs.”

Another comment read, “Just exactly was his purpose in going there in the first place? To stare the Justices down and intimidate them to do his bidding? Unbelievable.”

Photographers captured Trump walking out alongside Attorney General Pam Bondi. Soon after, the president fired off an irate post on Truth Social, fueling speculation that he was aware his intimidation scheme was unsuccessful. He wrote, “We are the only County in the World STUPID enough to allow ‘Birthright’ Citizenship! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”

Reactions included a second mention of his offspring. An X user asked, “Does he understand that he is talking about his children too?” However, none of Trump’s kids gained citizenship via the 14th amendment.

Don Jr., Ivanka, and Eric were born to an immigrant mother, Ivanka Trump, who became a U.S. citizen in 1988. Tiffany Trump was born to American actress Marla Maples. The youngest of the bunch, Barron Trump, was born to the president’s current wife, Melania Trump, in 2006, the same year the model became a naturalized citizen. The now-first lady married Trump a year earlier.

Trump’s middle finger moment echoed his January 13 visit to Ford’s F‑150 assembly plant in Dearborn, Michigan — only this time it was him flipping the bird.

Social media mocked the size of his “small” hand, comparing it to hummingbirds, while the White House called his response “appropriate and unambiguous.” The clip turned a routine visit into a spectacle, reigniting fascination with Trump’s behavior and physical features.
