It appears there is still plenty of love between Cynthia Bailey and her ex-husband Peter Thomas.
Bailey revealed to Page Six while attending Bravocon in New York City last week that Thomas reached out to her and offered his support as news broke about her split from her estranged husband, Mike Hill.
Bailey and Hill, who have been married for two years, announced they were going their separate ways after fans speculated there was trouble in paradise when both parties failed to acknowledge their second wedding anniversary.
The former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star told the publication on Oct. 18, “He [Peter] said he just wishes me the best. He told me I was a queen and that I deserve the best, so that was really, really nice.”
Bailey’s admission about Thomas’ kind words comes days after she told another news outlet that her failed relationship with the Bar One owner prompted her to end her current marriage with Mike Hill sooner. Bailey and Thomas were married from 2010 to 2017.
The 55-year-old told People magazine on Oct. 13, “The beauty of the whole situation is Mike and I, we learned from our previous relationships. I didn’t want to wait eight years to figure out that it’s not working or we’re not compatible as we thought we were. And Mike’s the same way.”
She added, “We always said we never wanted to feel like we were just in this to be in this. We didn’t want to settle for anything less than happy. And we just got to the point where, after really evaluating it, we felt like we were better suited to just be friends rather than trying to force something to work that just wasn’t working anymore.”
Since then, no additional details about Bailey and Hill’s pending divorce have been released to the general public.
