The reality star from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” stunned fans in various ways on Aug. 22 when she dedicated a special Instagram post to the college student on her 20th birthday.
In the clip, Kandi featured a compilation video that included past and present-day photos of the pair alongside Lizzo’s “Birthday Girl” track. In addition to the recording, Kandi expressed that despite Riley growing up, she will always consider the 20-year-old her baby.
The Xscape singer wrote in the caption, “Happy Birthday @rileyburruss!!!!!!!!! Where does the time go?! One minute I was rocking you to sleep with your favorite bear & now you’re taller than me & trying to tell me what to do!”
Kandi continued, “No matter how old you get you’ll always be my baby & I’ll always be here for you. I’m so proud of the woman you’ve become! You have so much going on & I can’t wait to see what this new year brings you. I love you soooooo much! Everybody give @rileyburruss some birthday love!”
As the upload circulated online, many brought up how quickly Riley has grown, while recounting memories of her being featured on “RHOA.”

Among the previous responses, others mentioned Riley’s massive weight loss and how beautiful she looked. One wrote, “I’m so glad she lost the weight again. She struggled a lot with her weight! So happy for her.”
Another said, “Sis wasn’t playing with the weight! She looks amazing.” A third social media user posted, “The weight loss looks great on her!”
Despite the praise, no additional details about Riley’s weight loss have been revealed. In the past, Kandi has shared her daughter’s weight-loss secrets by raving over Riley’s determination to maintain a healthier lifestyle and help others achieve that goal.
In a 2018 Instagram post, Kandi shared that Riley lost 52 pounds by “working out five days a week” and limiting the number of calories she consumes.
