Toya Johnson may be months away from walking down the aisle with fiancé Robert Rushing, but that didn’t stop the 38-year-old from celebrating the festivities a bit early with her close family and friends.
The couple began dating in 2017 and got engaged in 2019 in a highly publicized proposal ceremony. Almost three years following the special event, Johnson and Rushing announced in April that they had officially set their wedding date, which is scheduled for this fall.
Since then, Johnson has been preparing for her special day, including bringing all her loved ones together for a fun-filled bachelorette party in Miami, Florida.
Several of the guests that attended the T-Valley-themed event — which was inspired by the hit Starz series P-Valley — included Monyetta Shaw, Mielle Organics CEO Monique Rodriguez, Zonnique Pullins, and Johnson’s 23-year-old daughter Reginae Carter.
In an Instagram post shared on July 20, the entrepreneur was seen lounging around on a yacht with her girls as Doja Cat’s “Get Into It (Yuh)” track played in the background.
As the clip continued, Johnson gave fans insight into the other activities the group embarked on. The list included hanging out at the beach, eating at an undisclosed location, and participating in dare challenges.
In addition to the upload, Johnson wrote the caption, “The last sail before the veil. #Tvalley #rushingtothering.”
As Instagram users viewed the post, many expressed how happy they were about Johnson’s upcoming nuptials while sending well-wishes.
“That’s right!! Congratulations again! Continue to live your best life! You deserve it.”
“Love looks so good on you.”
“You look like you’re having a ball! You will be a lovely bride! Cheers to finding your Prince Charming.”
“Yesss enjoy beautiful you deserve it all.”
“Love this, beautiful joy you have.”
Johnson and Rushing are set to wed on Oc. 15.
