Six years down and forever to go.
Ciara and Russell Wilson recently commemorated a milestone in their relationship, their sixth wedding anniversary. The couple’s love story began in 2015, after they met at a Wisconsin basketball game. Shortly afterward, Ciara and Russell started dating.
A year later, in March 2016, the football player proposed to Ciara at a private beach in Seychelles. The pair ultimately got married on July 6, 2016, in a lavish ceremony at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England. Since that time, Ciara and Russell would welcome two children into their blended family of three.
In honor of their wedding anniversary, Ciara shared a compilation video of the couple taking part in various activities such as dancing, roaming around an unidentified location and cruising on a boat alongside Stevie Wonder’s “Ribbon in the Sky” track.
In addition to the video, the “Level Up” vocalist expressed in the caption how much she enjoyed “doing life” with Russell. She said, “Doing life with you has been everything I’ve hoped for, dreamt of, and more. It’s the best feeling in the world waking up to you everyday.”
She added, “I’m a better woman because of you. There is absolutely nothing I wouldn’t do for you. Happy Anniversary Mi Amore. My Best Friend. I love you so much @DangeRussWilson God is Good! Year 6. Forever to Go.”
The Denver Broncos quarterback responded in the comments section by writing, “Mrs. Wilson. You have filled my heart with joy since the moment I met you. Loving you and Future, Sienna, and Win is the greatest blessing and gift ever. Cheers to Year 6. Cheers to Love. Cheers to Us. Mi Amore @Ciara.”
As the post circulated online, many gushed over Ciara and Russell’s love while sending the couple well-wishes.

Shortly after Ciara shared her wedding anniversary post, Russell took to his Instagram account to share that his prayers were answered when he met the singer. While uploading various clips, including their daughter Sienna Wilson and Ciara’s son Future Wilburn, with rapper Future, he wrote, “I walked into the room for the first time…and I was speechless. Not because I didn’t have the words to say, but because God answered my prayers.”
Russell added, My prayers of finding someone with love, joy, peace, a vision, a desire to impact the world, and a passion for raising a family together… that was you.God has blessed us for the past 6 years of Marriage with our 3 beautiful children and an overflow of laughter, love, & life.
