Lupita Nyong’o showed off her dancing skills in a recent Instagram post that received over 400,000 likes. The 39-year-old actress strutted her stuff as she danced to the song “Cute” by South African musician Moonchild Sanelly and musical artist Trillary Banks.
Lupita wore shades as she danced in various bathing suits of different colors to the song’s chorus that said, “Yes I’m cute, I’m not rude, I be breaking all the rules.” She captioned her post, “Yes, I’m CUTE #FirstDayOfSummer ready.”
Many celebrities responded with hearts eyes and red hearts under the actress’ post. “High School Musical” star Vanessa Hudgens stepped into her comments section and wrote, “Adorrrableee.” Also, Moonchild Sanelly herself who commented heart eyes and tagged an African choreographer.
Fans also showed love to the “US” leading lady. One wrote, “Serving body as always!” Another comment read, “Look at that melanin pop!” Someone else said, “Okay sis! Let the people know!”
The actress has been busy filming as she is set to reprise her role as Nakia in the upcoming movie “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.”
After the tragic death of “Black Panther” actor Chadwick Boseman in 2020, it was unclear what the sequel was going to be about. It was also ambiguous as to whether T’Challa’s role would be re-casted but it eventually was released that Disney along with the director of the movie, Ryan Coogler, had no intention on re-casting for Boseman’s role. The director even plans to pay homage to the late actor in the second film.
While a distinctive plot for the film hasn’t been released, US Magazine gave insight on the sequel, saying, “As Marvel fans know, the mantle of Black Panther gets passed down through generations so it’s likely that someone else will take on the title in Wakanda Forever.”
The publication also said, “T’Challa’s sister Shuri (Wright) eventually became Black Panther and queen of Wakanda in the comic books, so her journey is certainly a possibility for the sequel’s plot.”
Collider.com wrote in 2021, “Black Panther 2 will be taking fans back to Wakanda and exploring the nation’s new place in the world.”
The movie is said to be released in theaters on Nov. 11, 2022.
