‘I’m Shaking Watching This’: VH1 Severs Ties with ‘Black Ink Crew: New York’ Star Ceaser Emanuel After Disturbing Video of Animal Abuse Resurfaces, Co-Stars React

Things aren’t looking too good for “Black Ink Crew: New York” star Ceaser Emanuel. Just hours after home security footage appeared to show the tattoo boss abusing a dog, his employer, VH1, announced that they would “cut ties” with the entrepreneur turned reality star.

“We have made the decision to cut ties with Ceaser Emanuel from Black Ink Crew New York,”  the network wrote in a memo posted to their social media page. “Since next season was close to finishing production, this decision will not impact the upcoming season.”

Deadline reported that the channel is also expected to address the situation in some form during the show airing. Ceasar’s lawyer, Walter Mosley, told TMZ that the video was old and that “There is no police involvement.  It was shot at his residence in Atlanta during COVID.”

Former cast member Walter reacted to the post, writing, “I guess the home girl “K” finally pulled up on him.” Meanwhile, Ceasar’s co-star Donna Lombard who has often found herself feuding with the scandal-embroiled star appeared to agree with the decision leaving a simple “applauding” emoji in the comments section.

Donna initially reposted the clip online, stating, “If you can treat a dog like this, it shows how sick of a person you truly are. I don’t even get into the life of this man, but this video made me so upset. Anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE animals. Especially dogs.”

She continued, “Even after he beat his daughter up, @vh1 @viacom_intl & the new @blackinkcrew producers tried to protect Ceaser, even made up fake conflicting storylines about my relationship to do it! Now this cannot be undone.” She added, “I pray the people see you, @ceaserblackink, as the monster you are.”

She called the network to cancel him,  writing, “CHARGES NEED TO BE PRESSED, and CANCELLATIONS NEED TO BE MADE! THE WORLD IS WATCHING!”

Critics online were shocked by the footage that showed the television personality hitting a dog with a nearby chair outside a home.

Ceaser’s ex-girlfriend Crystal Torres, whom last year accused the reality star of physically abusing their now-17-year-old daughter Cheyenne, wrote underneath the video, “But nobody believed my daughter!! Smfh I’m shaking watching this.”

Another person wrote, “That part. Y’all didn’t believe the young black girl screaming at the top her lungs, her father beat the shit out of her in the shower. She broke it down in detail. But y’all shocked about the dog. This man has a real problem.”

In other comment sections, the backlash continued. “But when he allegedly abused his daughter there were no repercussions. Dogs have always been more valuable than black women,” wrote another person.

“He should be put in jail right now over this he can go to jail over harming or abusing a pet of anything I hope and pray he realizes that too.”

Ceaser has been a part of the show since it premiered in 2013. He has yet to respond to the allegations publicly.
