It appears Eva Marcille‘s daughter Marley Rae Sterling has inherited more than just the reality star’s modeling skills. The 8-year-old currently has her eyes set on fashion.
Marcille disclosed the details during an interview with Bravo TV as she promoted “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Ex-Wives Club.” The series’ second season will premiere later this month.
On June 9, Marcille started the discussion by raving about her daughter‘s style. She said, “Marley is such a fashionista. She is the epitome of what fashion and style is supposed to be, which is a personal and self-expression.”
Further into the discussion, the 37-year-old recalled how far Sterling was willing to go in the name of fashion by putting together an outfit that didn’t correlate with Atlanta’s spring weather.
Marcille said, “The other day [Marley] had a jacket. My friend said, ‘Marley, it’s too warm for that coat.’ And although it was spring in Atlanta, Marley was set on keeping the outerwear regardless of the temperature.” She went on to say “It’s for my fashion.'”
Marcille added that her daughter chose the specific jacket because it matched her shoes. She said, “It was a shearling jacket. But there was, like, a little shearling tip on her shoe and she wanted to coordinate that… She wore it off of her shoulders, just at the arm. I can’t with her.”
Toward the end of the interview, Marcille shared why she encourages Sterling to express herself in every aspect, including fashion.
“I mean, the way she wants to express herself does not have to be something that everyone understands. I let her do her thing and enjoy fashion in the way in which I think it was meant to be enjoyed. Which is, whatever works for you, however you feel. And it should make you feel good at the end of the day.”
“The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Ex-Wives Club” will debut on June 23 on Peacock.
