NBA superstar LeBron James had fans questioning his intentions when he recognized his love for his wife of nearly nine years, Savannah James.
In his post that received over 2 million likes, he shouted out the entrepreneur and philanthropist for being his “rock,” saying, “Been my [rock emoji] holding this s–t down from the very first jump ball! I’m simply letting you and the world know I aint s–t without you!”
The four-time champion ended his caption by calling Savannah his “girlfriend aka best friend aka wife!”
LeBron and Savannah started dating in high school and have been together for 20 years; finally tying the knot in 2013. They share three kids together: Bronny, Bryce and their youngest, Zhuri.
While fans were eating the post up and commenting encouraging words such as, “It’s the black love for me!” and “behind a great man there is ALWAYS a great woman”, there were some comments speculating the intention behind the NBA star’s post.
One comment said, “Lmaoo what did you do bro? [crying emoji]” following another comment of: “please tell me Drew Sidora isn’t the reason behind this appreciation post.”
Fans have come up with their own theories behind his post after the most recent episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
A scene takes place in the show where the ladies had a discussion on who the most famous person to ever hit on them was.
When it became cast member Drew Sidora’s turn to tell her tea, she alleged that “a certain king of the NBA” bought her a drink.
While the actual name of the person Drew was talking about had been censored out, speculations arose that she was talking about LeBron James.
One of Drew’s cast mates, Kenya Moore, even joked in her confessional saying, “Child, Drew is talking about LaQuan.. Y’all just heard it wrong.”
Whether the encounter happened or not — reportedly before James was married — the basketball superstar let everyone know that there is only one woman for him, and that woman is Savannah James.
