Veteran actress Lisa Bonet and actor husband Jason Momoa are apparently giving their marriage a second try just one month after shattering the internet with a joint statement. The pair revealed that after 17 years together, they were calling it quits.
Gossip outlet Hollywood Life, which initially broke the recent news, reported that according to a friend of the “Aquaman” star, the two Hollywood stars have reconsidered their pending divorce and have begun living together again.
“Jason moved back in with Lisa about two weeks ago, and they are very much back together,” the unidentified source told the outlet. “They decided to work on things rather than throw in the towel because they have so much invested in each other.”
They also claimed that the couple’s two teenage children: 14-year-old daughter, Lola, and son, 13-year-old Nakoa-Wolf were “obviously thrilled that their parents have given their marriage another shot, adding that, “Everyone is really hoping that they can make this work this time around.”
As previously reported, in early January, the pair shared a joint statement on Momoa’s Instagram account — the former “The Cosby Show” star does not have social media — stating that they were affected by the “squeeze and changes of these transformational times.”
They continued, “A revolution is unfolding and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring.” The two said they wanted to share the news with their supporters not because we think it’s newsworthy but so that as we go about our lives, we may do so with dignity and honesty.”
The two concluded their announcement by sharing that “The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other to be who we are learning to become….”
Social media users were widely happy to hear that the lovebirds were not going to end things after all, including one Twitter user who wrote, “Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet getting back together, nature is healing.”
Another person wrote, “Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet realised that it is the absolute ghetto out here, that all the fish in the sea are dead, and got right the f-ck back together.”
However, not all were excited, including one social media user who jokingly wrote, “happy for Jason Momoa & Lisa Bonet giving their marriage another chance but devastated for myself.”
“Problem is, I’m not ready to give Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet’s marriage another chance,” quipped a fourth person. “How is this democratic?”
