La La Anthony‘s post with her son Kiyan Anthony gets derailed on Nov. 30 after fans zoom in on the pair’s height difference.
In the Instagram upload, the 5-foot-6 La La — who is seen matching Kiyan’s color-coordinated attire in an orange Chanel top with black pants and black boots — is all smiles as she poses next to the 14-year-old.
In addition to the post, the model disclosed despite her son growing up in age as well as height, she will find a way to “knock him out” if needed. La La wrote, “My baby @kiyananthony is growing up soooo fast he’s taller than me…faster than me…but I’ll still knock him out if I need too!!!” As fans viewed her post, many brought up how tall Kiyan is compared to his mother.
“Look how tall he is.”
“Wow @lala he’s extremely taller than you!!!!”
“The heels can’t even save you. So precious.”
“Hold up, when did he get so tall? I feel like Kiyan is our virtual nephew…”
“Damn he’s taller than you with the heels on !!??”
Among the height difference remarks, other people mentioned La La’s caption about still being able to “knock” her son out regardless of his size. One wrote, “That’s right, let them know that you are the HEAD woman in charge.” Another warned Kiyan not to mess with La La. They said, “Don’t try ya mama young King… she’s cute and will knock ya a– out, lol.”
The last time the pair made headlines was back in November after La La opened up about how protective her son is of her dating life. La La is currently undergoing divorce proceedings with her longtime partner Carmelo Anthony. The former couple welcomed Kiyan in 2007 and were later married in 2010. Rumors began circulating in 2017 that La La and Carmelo were separating after the basketball player reportedly cheated and got the other woman pregnant. Carmelo ultimately never denied or confirmed the allegations.
During a Nov. 2 interview with “Entertainment Tonight,” La La shared a list of qualities she wants in a potential lover while promoting her fashion collaboration line with PrettyLittleThing. She said, “Somebody that I can have fun with. Somebody that I can laugh with, have a good time with. Just someone that is chill and easy because that’s pretty much my personality.”
When asked if she will need to get approval from her son, La La jokingly stated, “Oh no, he’s too protective. He is not a good wingman. Nobody can come next to me when my son is around at all.”
