Fat Joe might have been the man of hour during his birthday party this past weekend, but Ashanti stole the show after arriving in a racy black and blue cut-out mini-dress. Fat Joe, who was born on Aug. 19, commemorated the special day the following night.
The rapper took to Instagram Live on Aug. 21 to react to the “Foolish” vocalist’s ensemble at the star-studded affair in New York, which also included guests Busta Rhymes, Remy Ma, N.O.R.E., Papoose, Swizz Beatz and Jim Jones.
The “Lean Back” emcee shared how stunned he was after escorting Ashanti out of the car. He said while informing his fans that “sexy” was the only dress code provided, “When Ashanti come out that car. Jesus Christmas. I mean, what wasn’t she wearing. Holy s–t.”
Fat Joe continued by saying he immediately rushed Ashanti to the stage so she could perform because he felt the 40-year-old‘s outfit would instantly “fly off her.” “She is looking like a mother f–king missile out there in them streets. … Ashanti comes in and I’m like, Jesus Christ, what part of the Fat Joe hyping her up is this. In all the years I’ve known her, she never looked better. She walks in I automatically rush her to the stage because I thought the f–king outfit was going to fly off her. … I thought we had about five minutes with Ashanti in there.”
Toward the end of the clip, the Terror Squad member spent the rest of the time mimicking how he thought the songstress’s dress would come off with one wrong move. Upon viewing the video, Ashanti reposted the clip from the Live alongside a photo from her performance with Fat Joe. The “Rain on Me” singer expressed in the caption how much she loved Joe for hyping up her look. “If your brother don’t hype u up like this he’s trash!!! love u bro!!!! I am f##### cryinnnnnnnnnnnngg 😭😭😭@fatjoe 🎉🎉🎉 🎥🎥🎥.”
