Fantasia Barrino gave fans a view of her post-pregnancy body on Aug. 9 after uploading a mirror selfie with her tiny special guest, the singer’s 2-month-old daughter Keziah Taylor.
In the selfie the 37-year-old, who is wearing a black bodycon dress, is seen holding the infant while posing for an image she captioned “Well I Guess I can say Thanks Kezzy cause I never had these hips lol!!”
Despite loving her new curvier physique, Barrino added that she wants to lose “a lil more” weight in order to meet her particular goal. Without specifying a weight-loss target, she said, “Now this weight must continue to come off 😂 not all just a lil more.”
The American Idol winner and her husband Kendall Taylor welcomed Keziah on May 23. Barrino shared the news on her Instagram page by posting a photo from her pregnancy shoot, which showcased the singer cradling her belly while standing in front of an elephant.
She wrote, “The Elephant is the animal I chose to surround @keziahlondontaylor with because it represents patience, strength, power, and remembrance. Just a few of the qualities that her presence has brought into our lives and this world. We were patient waiting on you to enter this world and we will always remember the strength that it took for me and @salute1st to create something as powerful as your life itself. Happy Birthday to our little Angel 5-23-21, and may God keep and cover you for the rest of your days!”
Days following the announcement, on May 30, the “Free Yourself” vocalist revealed on social media that she and her husband were in a neonatal intensive care unit because Keziah was “born too early.” Ultimately almost a month after that revelation, the couple was able to take the newborn home.
Barrino disclosed the update by uploading an image of her holding her daughter dressed in all white with the caption, “𝑊𝑒𝑙𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑒 𝐻𝑜𝑚𝑒 @keziahlondontaylor.”
