Singer Monica is going all out on social media for her ex-boyfriend Corey “C-Murder” Miller’s birthday.
On March 9, Miller, who currently sits behind bars, turned 50, and Monica made sure he knew that he was loved and not forgotten. The nearly seven-minute video began with some family and friends, including his daughters, wishing him a happy birthday. It included some other familiar faces like Trick Daddy, Swizz Beats, Snoop Dogg, La La Anthony, Kim Kardashian and, of course, Monica.
In another post, that had the words “Happy Birthday” written on it, Monica shared a few throwback pictures of Miller. To make the post more special, she wrote a lengthy caption detailing a list of some of his favorite things.
It said, “Everyday we talk about perception verses reality & He always says “people don’t know me” So on @cmurder ‘s day I’ll share some

It was in the late ’90s when C-Murder and Monica started dating. Although they were not dating when he was charged with a life sentence for murder in 2002, Monica continued to support him throughout the years while he maintained his innocence behind bars. It is no surprise that Kim Kardashian and La La Anthony were in the video. La La helped Monica get in touch with Kim, who has gotten several people out of jail for her prison reform mission. With the recantations of two eyewitnesses, a jury vote of 10 to 2 in favor of conviction, and DNA evidence not matching, Kim also believes in C-Murder’s innocence and is helping Monica work toward getting him out of jail.
