Following the dramatic departure of former castmate Monique Samuels, the Bravo franchise “The Real Housewives of Potomac” is down a person. However, that may soon change. The Jasmine Brand reported that the television series might have already found Monique’s replacement in another mommy entrepreneur.
The blog site recently revealed that the television network is seeking to add businesswoman Mia Thornton to the series for its upcoming sixth season. Unidentified sources told the media publication that Mia would be added as either a full-time cast member or friend of the show.
“Potomac needs to fill Monique’s role on the show. Before Monique quit, production was anticipating following the aftermath of Monique and Candiace – will they reconcile? Will the cast remain divided? Now that she’s gone, they’ll need to explore new people,” the sources explained. The source also claimed that as of late, Mia is in the lead as a potential replacement.
Not much is known about Mia. She reportedly is the owner of a beauty and cosmetic brand, Amille On London, and the owner of The Joint Chiropractic, which has several clinics located on the East Coast. Mia is also married and has three small children. She would be joining veteran cast members Gizelle Bryant, Robyn Dixon, Karen Huger, Ashely Darby, Candiace Dillard-Bassett, and recently added Wendy Osefo.
Fans appear to be excited about the possibility of Mia joining the squad and have already started to voice their opinions on social media. In response to a post made by blog site The Peach Report announcing the news of Mia, one Twitter user wrote, “I know there’s going to be some shade between NEVERhue and Mrs Mia.” That person added, “Bring RHOP now cause ATL is not delivering for me. And that’s that on that.” The fan’s post seemingly took a jab at Gizelle’s company EveryHue. The reality star frequently spoke about her makeup line on the show, but it has since ended production.
Another person commented, “The shake up though, let’s make sure the green eyed bandits don’t run this newbie away 👏🏾.” That person added, “Will open arms be there? Because a few of the ladies can’t handle new #RHOP🌸.”
“Group dynamic seems secure…hmm I think I might like her lol,” a third wrote.
