Yandy Smith-Harris and Mendeecees Harris’s daughter, Skylar Harris, has just one question for fans and that is “Why switch out a dime for a penny? Gang, Gang.”
In a short Instagram clip, Skylar started singing lyrics to Moneybagg Yo’s song “123” featuring Blac Youngsta: “Why switch out a dollar for a penny? Gang, gang.” Someone holding the camera, which is assumed to be her father Mendeecees, asked her what she said and she repeated it. For clarification, he asked her “a dollar for a penny,” and she replied “Yea.”
That is when her older brother Omere Harris cut in to correct his sister. He said, “No, no DIME for a penny.” Skylar quickly adjusted her words, switching dollar for the word dime while randomly dancing. She then transitioned to singing Megan Thee Stallion’s “Body” song and moving her hands to mimic dance. But when the cameraman laughed and told her that wasn’t the same song, she switched back to singing “123” and doing the Mop dance.
Yandy Smith-Harris wrote, “@mendeecees you and @omereandskylar teach my baby one more song like this and imma do something to y’all when y’all sleep! For real. Stop playing with her princess status👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾😩🤦🏾♀️.”
Friend of Yandy, Mona B. Scott wrote, “Uncle Shawn said “she betta know them timetables like she know that gang gang! 😂😂😂😂😂” Yandy responded, “@monascottyoung tell Uncle Shawn…he ain’t never lied. I approve this message!! @mendeecees.”
Fans chimed in, reacting to Skylar’s rapping, “I’m screaming! Yans I just want you to know that they didn’t do this! She’s been a little gangsta since she got here! 😂😂😂😂😂,” and someone else said, “She is a whole vibe 😍😂.”
“Love and Hip Hop” couple Yandy and Mendeecees tied the knot in 2015, and Skylar and Omere are the two children they share together. They also have a foster daughter, Infinity Gilyard. Mendeecees has two other sons, Mendeecees Jr. and Asaim, from his previous relationships.
