On the latest episode of Tami Roman’s “Bonnet Chronicles,” Roman breaks down the rules behind the “Friendship Code.”
The almost 13-minute video begins with Roman explaining that if two people are friends for a while and they share details about their private lives with each other mand they fall out, the secrets they shared between each other “should die right along with the friendship.”
Roman went on to tell a story about a friend she had for over ten years whom she fell out with. She went on to detail how her friend betrayed her, told her business, and was becoming cool with people Roman “definitely didn’t like.”
Fans in the comments watching Roman’s Live asked her about her friendships with the ladies on “Basketball Wives,” since most of the women on there have thrown each other under the bus at least once. At 8:02 she responded: “Now for y’all that’s going to drop down in the comments talking about some sh-t that happened on ‘Basketball Wives,’ they not my f—king friends, OK? And that was a TV show. So, yeah, sh-t was taken back and forth and things were said and done all the f—ing time, because we’re not f—ing friends. We were coworkers.”
She continued to elaborate, “I’m talking about my friends. My real-f—ing-life friends. There’s a code that I feel should be honored. And in the event we stop being friends, operate within the dissection of the union. With the thought process being the love that you had for that person when y’all was connected.”
When the 50-year-old left “BBW” on season 8 her friendship with executive producer Shaunie O’Neal was seemingly over, and that still appears to be the case. Last year on IG Live, she told her followers that she still speaks to former cast mate Malaysia Pargo and that OG was her “sister.” But as for Shaunie, she said, “I haven’t talked to Shaunie since I left the show. So that’s how me and Shaunie are.”
Their relationship ended when Roman tried to expose cast member Evelyn Lozada on the show for allegedly sleeping with Shaunie’s ex-husband Shaquille O’Neal. Lozada denied it, and Shaunie questioned why Roman told her the information so late.
