Gabrielle Union told on herself when she and hubby Dwyane Wade decided to participate in TikTok’s viral ‘This or That’ challenge.
The Wades spilled their own tea in the challenge video, which is set to Run DMC’s classic jam “It’s Tricky” as participants choose between two options presented on screen by dancing to the left or right. In their video, the couple revealed plenty about themselves, but it was the final choice that had fans cracking up.
As the music played, the pair let us know that they both prefer text over video calls, like to turn down early as opposed to partying the night away, and agreed that Union is their daughter Kaavia’s favorite parent.
They didn’t agree on everything, however. The “L.A.’s Finest” actress prefers tequila over wine, while Wade took the opportunity to show off his D. Wade Cellars brand, and Union always puts her toothpaste cap on like an adult, while her other half admitted to habitually leaving it off. Wade also copped to preferring his space but couldn’t resist when Union dragged him to the cuddling side.
The final question, “Who said ‘I love you’ first?” was where the real revelation happened for fans. Both began reaching for a beer when the question appeared, but it was Union who ended up taking a swig, admitting that although she said the three big words first, in her defense “it was an accident!”
Gabrielle stood her ground and stuck to her story in her man’s comments, writing, “Seriously… it was an accident!!!! 😂😂😂.”
Fans got a kick out of learning more about the pair and seeing the couple having a good time enjoying each other’s company.
“y’all got the best energy around”
“Y’all bored and cute😂”
“This is sooo funny 😁 glad y’all happy & making others laugh 👍🏼👍🏼”
“Accidents happen when you in them guts 😁”
A few followers also called Union out for misspelling Dwyane’s name in the video.
“How your wife spelling your name wrong bruh”
“Damn she really repeatedly misspelled her husband’s name”
“Who misspelled Dwyane’s name here 😂😭”
The Wades have been entertaining themselves on social media throughout the pandemic, and fans can’t get enough of their positive displays of Black love.
