Following a long-awaited “Verzuz” battle with singer Keyshia Cole, R&B singer-songwriter Ashanti returned to her social media platform with a series of fashion photos, putting the spotlight on her toned legs.
Late Sunday evening on Jan. 24, the “Foolish” singer uploaded several photos of herself in a series of various posts to her Instagram page wearing a sexy two-piece black short suit set, posing in what appeared to be in a hotel hallway. The suit featured bared most of her chest and her legs.
The songstress accented her little black number with a velvet floral pattern vest and accessorized her ‘fit with a diamond crust long pearl chain with a cross and large diamond hoop earrings and an iced-out watch. The 40-year-old completed her ensemble with a pair of strappy heels and a glam makeup look. Other posts showed a closer look at Ashanti’s look and her shimmering assortment of bling.
Fans swooned over the New York native’s dazzling looks and fashion sense, which garnered her post over 270,000 likes from her supporters. “This is what someone who won the Verzuz battle looks like! 🗣️” one user expressed in the comments section. Another person wrote, “Natural body for me😍😍😍😍.”
A third person commented, “I love your confidence and style you always look good.” A fourth person expressed, “Still looking and stunning.”
Ashanti’s post comes on the heels of a two-time delayed “Verzuz” battle with “Love and Hip Hop” alum Keyshia Cole. The musical celebration was initially scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020, but was delayed after the “Rock Wit U” singer announced just one day before the social media event was supposed to take place that she had contracted COVID-19.
Fans were disappointed and voiced their dismay on social media because before Ashanti got sick, the star had been traveling out of the country. Many critics blamed her activities as a result. Still, Ashanti maintained that she actually contracted the virus from a family member she spent time with when she returned home.
The battle was then pushed to Jan. 9, 2021. It was delayed one more time after that until it took place on Jan. 23, with over one million people watching on the Instagram platform alone.
