Tami Roman is spilling some details regarding who she’s speaking and no longer speaking to from the VH1 reality show “Basketball Wives.”
Although Tami made it clear that she no longer wanted to be associated with the “BBW” franchises, that didn’t mean she was willing to cross out the friendships she cultivated during her time on the show, which she left in 2019.
During a recent Instagram Live session, the “Bonnet Chronicles” podcast creator was questioned by fans about whether she still communicates with some of her former cast mates, to which she answered to the best of her abilities.
“Do I still talk to Malaysia [Pargo]? Yes, I talk to Malaysia via Instagram,” she revealed, making clear that they don’t necessarily communicate in any other way. She added, “I feel like I’m talking to you when I like your pictures. It’s like, I see a picture I like, or I leave a comment on your picture. That’s me talking to you. There’s no issue with me and Malaysia. I don’t think there ever was an issue with me and Malaysia, so, ain’t no need to have one now.”
However, when asked about Shaunie O’Neal, the show’s producer and star, Tami kept things short, saying, “Somebody said how is me and Shaunie. I haven’t talked to Shaunie since I left the show.” She added, “So that’s how me and Shaunie are.” While Tami didn’t reveal what happened to their friendship, in the past the reality star has expressed that their relationship was put on hold after feeling like they weren’t the friends she thought they were.
“I thought that Shaunie and I were real friends. I think that I put more weight and more value on the friendship than she actually was doing,” she explained back in May during a YouTube Live chat with “Married to Medicine” star Dr. Heavenly Kimes. “From my standpoint, I really loved and respected Shaunie a great deal. And so the last two seasons made me feel like it wasn’t any reciprocity. You gotta acknowledge that and honor it. If people don’t f–k with you like that they just don’t f–k with you. No harm, no foul. But I just realized that it wasn’t that deep for her.”
Tami also revealed that she and OG are still on good terms and had nothing but positive remarks regarding the athlete. “Me and OG are good,” she said. “Someone said how’s me and OG. OG’s my sister. Love me some OG, so we’re good on that.”
No one questioned Tami on her stance with Jackie Christie. While things seemed to be fine during the show, the pair no longer follow each other on social media. And when it came to the other ladies, notably Jennifer Williams, fans of the show are aware of the two women’s ongoing feud.
During her podcast’s most recent episode, Tami’s husband, Reggie Youngblood, called out his wife for her part in their ongoing beef. Fans praised Youngblood for dropping some sound advice and Tami for being receptive to it.
