Saweetie Recreates All Three Destiny’s Child Members’ ‘Bootylicious’ Looks for Halloween and Gets Approval from Kelly Rowland

One day before Halloween and Saweetie had already put in work to try to take home the crown for the best outfit of the year. On Oct. 30, she posted to Instagram a triple-image shot of herself in which she recreated the artwork of the 2002 Destiny’s Child hit song “Bootylicious.”

In the photo, her hair, makeup, and outfits all mimic the same looks Kelly Rowland, Beyoncé, and Michelle Williams had in the original shoot.

She captioned the photo “I don’t think you ready for this jelly! #Saweetaween.”

But the “Icy Girl” did not stop there. Just hours after posting the picture, she uploaded a video of herself dancing and lip-syncing to Beyoncé’s verse and the chorus of the song.

After receiving a combination of around 1,800,000 likes on the photo and video, it’s safe to say Saweetie’s costume was a hit. Even Kelly Rowland reposted the video on her Instagram as a nod of approval.

She captioned it, “You straight bodied this! Love you boo!”

Saweetie replied, “LOVE YOU,” in the comments.

Former Destiny Child’s member Letoya Luckett co-signed Kelly Rowland’s comment, saying, “She Won Halloween & it ain’t even the 31st yet!”

Fans agreed, with one writing, “Sis!!!!! You stole it this year!! EPIC!!!”

Another added, “I defffff don’t think they ready !! You killlllled all these LOOKS SIS !!!! Yaaaas.”

But Destiny’s Child members are not the only, nor the first, celebrities that Saweetie has tried to imitate this year for Halloween.

On Wednesday, Oct. 28, the “Tap In” rapper tapped into her first costume as the famed drag queen and TV host RuPaul. For this look, she reinvented the artwork for season 11 of RuPaul’s TV show “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”

She wore a pink latex dress with white trim, nude fishnet tights, and gold heels. As for makeup, she wore pink lipstick, gold eyeshadow, and big blonde hair. Standing with one hand on her hip, she rested the other against a large teal-colored lipstick tube that was the size of her body.

In the caption she asked, “#saweetaween Where mama Ru at?”
