Angela Simmons and her son Sutton Joseph kicked off her birthday week in style.
The mother-and-son duo posed for a cute photo together on Wednesday, Sept. 16, while traveling on a private jet. It’s uncertain where the pair were traveling to, but based on Simmons’s past birthday getaways, it’s likely it was somewhere tropical.
In the photo, the 32-year-old mother sat across from her toddler and posed in all-black attire. Baby SJ wore an adorable camouflage tracksuit and posed with a bag of chips in his hand, while staring into the camera with his big starry eyes.
“US š„°,” Simmons captioned the Instagram snap.
The image received over 79,000 likes and plenty of sweet fan comments.
“I love the fact that her son is literally like her best friend ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø,” one IG user gushed.
A supporter mentioned Simmons and her son’s resemblance in the comments section, writing, “One glance at him, and I saw nothing but your face. šā¤ļø.”
“Love u girl……. ur so special and a great mum keep ur head up angie,” someone else wrote.
“You and yung stunner šš«,” another fan commented.
Simmons welcomed her son SJ in September 2016 with her ex-fiancĆ©, Sutton Tennyson, who was shot to death in November 2018. The former couple were broken up before Tennyson’s tragic death.
In February 2018, the “Growing Up Hip Hop” star dedicated a sweet post and message to her son, expressing how much she loved him.
“All I want to be is the best mother I can possibly be to him,” Simmons wrote. “A trip down memory lane . Heās growing so quickly. This little boy has given me the strength I needed at so many times. Thank you God for such a perfect blessing .. I found myself when I had you ! ā¤ļø #BecauseYouLoved me.”
In an interview with the Los Angeles Sentinel newspaper in June 2018, Simmons described motherhood as a big āadjustmentā that she wouldnāt change for the world.
“I definitely think children bring out the best in you. ā¦ Motherhood is an experience and matures you in a different way,ā she said. āThe kid just changes you for the better. I wouldnāt change it.ā
