Actress Tiffany Haddish recently put a new spin on her already daring bald hairdo. On Friday, Sept. 11, the “Night School” star hopped over to her Instagram account and shared several snaps of her latest Nas-inspired haircut.
In the photo, the star was seen wearing a gorgeous two-piece olive green leather suit. Haddish accessorized her look with gray heels and large gold hoop earrings. However, the main attraction was her new take on her close haircut.
When the actress first shaved off her hair in July, it was skin bald, but now she has let it grow out a bit. The “Girls Trip” star added a slick part on the side, similar to rapper Nas’ iconic haircut. “Yesterday was full of magic and I am Glad I was wearing @veronicabeard [email protected] while I was basking in it,” the actress captioned the post. The actress then went on to thank her glam squad, who helped her put the look together.
Haddish concluded her lengthy caption by revealing that she lost weight during the pandemic, as she’s had more time to work out being home and quarantining. “p.s. those pants are a size 4. I was in a size 10-12 (depending on the designer) back in December,” she wrote. “Have been working my ass off Literally during this pandemic. I want my original body back I will be a Track star! #trackandfield.”
Fans couldn’t get enough of Haddish’s new hairstyle, and they wasted no time letting the actress know, including one person who commented, “Looking like a bag of money!!! Cmon sis!!! 🤑.” Another wrote, “& they was hating on u baby! I love the cut😍😍😍 u so tuuuute.”
One fan liked Haddish’s look so much so that she was inspired to shave her hair. “Ugh you make me want to go bald again,” the user commented.
On Thursday, Haddish shared a short video of herself getting the style done. “What up y’all. I’m over here looking like Nas, what it do, baby. To all the sexy dudes out there, what’s up, getting a cut,” the actress is heard saying in the three-minute clip. Haddish captioned the post, “I got a Nas part.” Fans showered the actress with compliments, including one fan who wrote, “You’re looking freaking beautiful and sensational ♥️♥️♥️.”
Haddish revealed that she initially got the cut for a movie role in which her character wore a lot of wigs. The star said she wanted to cut down on the amount of effort and time she was putting into her hair, as well as simplify the on-set hairstylist’s job. She’s also admitted to fans that she just wanted to see what her scalp looked like.
“I literally been talking about this for years — how I wanna see my scalp. I know every single part of my body. I know where every single mole is. Anybody that’s ever done my hair has heard me say it!” the actress told fans on Instagram Live back in July.
