‘Burn That Shirt!’: Tami Roman Pokes Fun at Herself After She Wears This In a Throwback Photo

All celebrities have had their share of embarrassing moments, including reality diva Tami Roman.

The “Basketball Wives” star apparently hopped on rapper Kanye West’s bandwagon in 2015, after he declared at the MTV Music Awards he would run for president of the United States in 2020. At the time, Roman didn’t think he was serious, but little did she know he was.

Roman took to Instagram on Aug. 31, and posted a photo that shows her wearing a “Kanye 2020” shirt that was plastered with the words “Make America Cray Again.” Needless to say, the 50-year-old actress seemed a little embarrassed about sporting the tee and teased herself for wearing it.

“Whoa! I had no idea that when I wore this in 2015, that he was serious,” she wrote in the caption. “I thought we were joking πŸ˜‚πŸ˜©πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈ so this wasn’t for play play?#SometimeAgoSunday #IdidNotMakeThisShirt #IBoughtIt.”

Followers also took jabs at the “BBW” star’s post.

“Burn the shirtπŸ˜‚,” a fan wrote.

“Cute and you funny πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ and dont ever wear it againπŸ˜†,” another added.

“🀣 now why you have to do that, I’m laughing on the inside 😭,” someone else remarked. “It’s the play play for me 🀣.”

One IG user did criticize Roman for seemingly dissing West, 43, and commented on the photo, writing, “Mental health is nothing to play about. No different then cancer. Remember how much it hurt you. Please stop. πŸ™πŸ½”

Roman’s IG post comes two months after the “All Falls Down” rapper announced he was running for president this year.

On July 4, West tweeted, “We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision, and building our future. I am running for president of the United States! #2020VISION.”

Where things stand with West being on the ballot in November is still playing out. On Thursday, Sept. 3, judges in Virginia and Arizona ordered election officials in those states to keep West’s name off the ballot for the general election. West reportedly has qualified in 10 states to appear on the ballot; that wouldn’t be enough to capture the 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidency.

For years, he’s received strong criticism for repeatedly showing support for U.S. President Donald Trump. West hasn’t said much in recent months about the November election. However, one thing seems sure: He clearly doesn’t have Roman’s vote for president.
