‘Baby on the Way’: Fans Flood Rah Ali with Congratulations After She Shares Pregnancy News

Congratulations are in order for Rah Ali — she’s pregnant!

The “Love and Hip Hop: New York” alumna, 36, announced the news via Instagram on Monday, Aug. 17, that she’s expecting her first child with a series of gorgeous maternity shots.

In the first photo, the mom-to-be wore a chained bikini top and bottom, while showing off a side view of her baby bump. She wrote, “Overwhelmed with Joy.”

The second image showed Ali wearing a beautiful purple gown as she held one hand on her bulging belly while sitting up on a heart-shaped bed in an ornate room styled as a bridal suite. Her caption read, “Baby on the way” with a red heart emoji.

Ali and her husband’s rainbow baby happens to be a baby girl!

The couple’s pregnancy news comes a year after Ali suffered a devastating late-term miscarriage in May 2019 at five months pregnant.

Ali told Atlanta Black Star last November that losing the baby, whom she named Sanaa, was “traumatizing.”

“It was very, very hard to deal with,” she said. “If it wasn’t for me to be able to have that therapy process and having the support and the women telling me, ‘This is what happened to me,’ I wouldn’t have found out that 1 in every 4 pregnancies is a loss. Those numbers are not ever really presented to us — especially as women of color.”

“It’s still something that I deal with every single day,” she continued. “I think that it doesn’t ever leave you; it becomes a part of who you are,” Ali says. “But if you’re able to figure out ways to release whatever it is that you’re feeling inside, that’s the process of healing.”

It’s unclear how far along Ali is, but congrats to her and her husband on their newest addition to the family.
