‘Grateful to Have Her in My Life’: Common Talks About His Relationship with Tiffany Haddish

Things are looking up in the love department for rapper and actor Common, who recently opened up about his relationship with comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish during an interview on “Live with Kelly and Ryan.”

During the conversation, the “Just Wright” star revealed that he cared “a lot” for the actress and is “happy” in their relationship. “She’s a wonderful woman, a queen, and just a beautiful person, man,” Common explained. He added, “You know, I just care for her a lot, enjoy her, and am grateful to have her in my life … I’m happy.”

Haddish confirmed their relationship to the rapper during the July 30 episode of Steve-O’s podcast, “Steve-O’s Wild Ride.” “I am in a relationship,” the actress admitted as she joked about recently shaving her head and how it made her and Common “twins.”

The “Night School” star revealed that they were social distancing together at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic and had even attended a Black Lives Matter protest together in June.  The actress went as far as to disclose that the pair were both tested “for everything” before getting intimate. “And then he got tested for everything, I got tested for everything, and yeah, we’ve been f—king,” the actress divulged.

Haddish told Steve-O that, in all, her relationship to the rapper is “hands down the best” she’s ever been in and says she’s even lost 20 pounds since the two began dating. “I feel more confident in me, and it’s not him that’s doing it,” Haddish explained. She added, “I’m just way happier, and it’s like knowing I got somebody that cares about me, that really has my back. It seems like he does anyways. And I love it. I love him.”

Common and Haddish initially became friends after meeting on the set of the 2019 film “The Kitchen.” Still, the two didn’t become romantic until their social-distancing virtual date on Bumble.

In a video posted to Bumble’s Instagram account, fans got a first look at the pair’s interaction with each other. “You look very beautiful,” Common told the actress during the clip. “You look very handsome yourself,” Haddish replied, later calling the rapper “so sweet and romantic.” “I would love to see you again,” Common told Haddish before the two signed off by exchanging “Love you” goodbyes.
