It’s official! Tiffany Haddish and rapper Common are dating. The 40-year-old actress and comedian confirmed she was in a relationship with the Grammy Award-winning artist during the July 30 episode of Steve-O’s podcast, “Steve-O’s Wild Ride.”
“I am in a relationship,” Tiffany said at the 7:20 mark before revealing that her mystery man is Common. The “Girls Trip” star, who shaved her head last month because she wanted to see her scalp and her moles, mentioned that her boyfriend is fond of her new hairstyle.
“Yeah, we’re twins now,” she joked. “I’ve been talking about cutting my hair for years and then when I went to the doctor, it kind of like solidified it like ‘yeah I should probably just.. I’m just gonna cut it all off.’ He said it was beautiful,” she shared. “He’s like, ‘Wow, you did it man. You’ve got a lot of courage. You look so beautiful. I love it.’ And I’m like, ‘Ahh, put your head on my head.’ “
Common and Tiffany met on the set of the 2019 film “The Kitchen.” The Los Angeles native explained that they “became friends,” but added it “wasn’t anything sexual or anything like that because … my eyes were set on something else.” Tiffany then went on to share that the pair went on a virtual Bumble date, where their friendship turned into a romantic relationship. “And then he got tested for everything, I got tested for everything, and yeah, we’ve been f—ing,” she shared.
Tiffany told Steve-O around the 46:45 mark: “This is hands down the best relationship I’ve ever been in — Knock on wood,” She added, “I’ve lost 20 pounds since I’ve been in this relationship. I feel more confident in me and it’s not him that’s doing it … it’s like, way happier and it’s like knowing I got somebody that cares about me, that really has my back. It seems like he does anyways. And I love it. I love him.”
Rumors sparked that the pair started dating in June. At the time, Common and Tiffany were spotted together at a Black Lives Matter protest in Los Angeles. The high-profile couple have been spending their shelter-in-place days bonding together and playing spades, according to Tiffany.
