Fans may know Tami Roman for being outspoken on the hit VH1 reality show “Basketball Wives,” but her former reality television gig didn’t start there.
Roman’s debut on television goes back to the ’90s when she appeared on MTV’s “Real World: Los Angeles” in 1993.
Roman, now 50, gave fans a walk down memory lane when she shared a throwback pic on Friday of herself and a former co-star, actor Bill Bellamy.
“This just reminded me to put down this short rib 😂😩🤦🏽♀️ Me & @billbellamy after all these years, still making it do what it do!” Roman wrote.
The mother of two shared the photo of herself and Bellamy at the beach after he posted the photo first and wrote: “#ThrowbackMTV@billbellamy and @tamiroman We came up in the game together. You ever heard of #TheRealWorld the first reality-based show was in @MTV.”
“Do your homework .. it was groundbreaking and has been duplicated ever since. I never knew she was so damn funny!! ‘The Bonnet Chronicles’ are hilarious!! #MTV #Flashback,” Bellamy concluded.
Fans got a chance to see a young Roman and Bellamy cheesing together more than two decades ago.
Roman’s fans also couldn’t help but notice that the two reality stars and actors haven’t aged much since they appeared on the MTV show 27 years ago.
“You look like me,” Jazz Anderson, Roman’s younger daughter by former NBA player and ex-husband Kenny Anderson wrote.
“You were always and still am a beautiful woman. You’re the real goat when it comes to reality tv. So glad you’re doing your thing still 🙏🏽.”
“😍😍 And y’all still look this damn good!! #blackdontcrack❤️.”
“Y’all both fine.”
“You still look the same, sis!”
“Been fine since forever! Both of y’all.”
Bellamy is known for movie roles, including “Love Jones,” “How to Be a Player,” “Lottery Ticket,” and more. From his page, it looks as though the 55-year-old is hosting Instagram Live shows called “He Said, She Said,” and “Rocking With The Stars.”
Roman has moved on from her “Basketball Wives” days to put her acting skills to the test by appearing on the BET show “The Family Business,” her show “Bonnet Chronicles,” and the movie “Tijuana Jackson: Purpose Over Prison” with Regina Hall.
According to her April 15 Instagram post, the film is set to debut on July 31.
“🙏🏽💋💛 JULY 31! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 You better get ready to laugh your a– off…No like for real… TIJUANA JACKSON: Purpose Over Prison is coming 💯.”
In the words of Roman, she and Bellamy are still “making it do what it do” on and off the screen.
