Michael B. Jordan had a lot of fans questioning his intentions after he was caught commenting underneath a steamy twerk video shared by the “Hot Girl Summer” captain herself, Megan Thee Stallion.
On Thursday, July 9, the “Savage” rapper posted a video of herself and a few of her friends showing off their twerking skills in a pool to the tune of Pop Smoke’s “Diana.” “Oh you getting flooded today, bayyybeeee,” Megan captioned the steamy clip. In just 12 hours, the video had already gained almost 2.5 million views from fans, including the “Just Mercy” actor himself, who posted a freezing face emoji in the comment section.
While the meaning behind Jordan’s comment is left to up to interpretation, Megan responded to the actor’s remark with the relieved-face emoji, seemingly content with the response she received from her video.
It wasn’t long before fans started interrogating Jordan, with many jokingly accusing the star of cheating on them. One Instagram user wrote, “oh so this is what we doing [crying emoji] pack ur sh—t Michael I’m done [sneezing and tears of joy emoji].”
Meanwhile, a collective sense of disrespect spread across the comments section. One disappointed fan wrote, “Ummm if u want a divorce just say det.” While a second chimed in saying, “bae u cheating on me dats disrespectful [smh emoji], my celebrity bae don’t love me.”
A fourth fan jokingly threatened to fight for Megan, even referencing the actor’s boxing movie “Creed.” He replied to Jordan’s comment, saying, “bro back up off my lady or we gotta catch the fade in Creed 3 ASAP!!! [100 emoji black fist].” His comment gained over 300 likes.
Although Megan has yet to address their interaction, this isn’t the first time the pair have crossed paths. Back in February 2020, the two were spotted together at the Coach New York Fashion Week presentation. Megan and Jordan were seated front row next to musician Jon Batiste and British model Paloma Elsesser.
As of late, Megan is known to be still single after ending her relationship with rapper MoneyBagg Yo. The Texas native shut down rumors that she was dating rapper G-Eazy after a video of the pair kissing and cuddling went viral on social media over Super Bowl weekend.
As for Jordan, the actor revealed in an interview with WSJ Magazine that he was “technically” single and waiting on Miss Right. “L.A. isn’t the best place to date,” the New Jersey-born actor told the outlet. “No offense to L.A.” Late last year, Jordan’s fans speculated that he was dating Swedish singer Snoh Alegra after he appeared in the visual for the songstress’s single “Whoa.” Jordan has neither confirmed nor denied their relationship.
