Lori Harvey is showering her stepfather Steve Harvey with love! On Father’s Day, the 23-year-old model posted a thread of photos and videos on Instagram that showed her and Steve spending quality time together.
In one striking image, the father-daughter duo is sitting in beige suede chairs and appear to be having a conversation in their home. Lori sported a sleeveless black shirt, black joggers, and black-and-white running shoes, while the 63-year-old comedian wore a black polo shirt, beige pants with black stripes, and a pair of socks. In her caption, she wrote: “Happy Father’s Day to the hardest working, funniest, most loving dad out there! I love you so much big guy! @iamsteveharveytv ❤️ 💐 @doseofroses.”
Lori’s sweet tribute to her bonus dad made some fans catch all the feels. One user wrote: “🥰🥰🥰,” which was followed by another post that said, “❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
The “Family Feud” game show host and Lori’s mother Marjorie Harvey tied the knot in 2007; they have a blended family of seven children. Marjorie had been married before and has three children of her own in 33-year-old Morgan Harvey, 29-year-old Jason Harvey, and Lori. Steve has four children from his two previous marriages: 29-year-old Broderick Harvey Jr., 22-year-old Wynton Harvey, and his 38-year-old twins Brandi and Karli Harvey.
Steve and Marjorie met in 1987 at a comedy club in Tennessee. At the time, he was a struggling up-and-coming comedian. Steve revealed in a video on his website that the Memphis native was late to the show and shared that he fell in love with Marjorie at first sight. “The first word I said to Marjorie was, ‘Lady I don’t know who you are …’ I stopped the show. I said, ‘I don’t know who you are, but I’mma marry you one day,’ ” he recounted.
The two dated for a year before they called their relationship quits for the first time in 1988. Steve was broke, homeless, and unable to travel to Memphis because of his finances during the beginning of their relationship. Steve and Marjorie reconnected years later and have been married for nearly 13 years. Shortly after they got married, Steve legally adopted Marjorie’s children.
