Kenya Moore is one proud mother. On Monday, June 15, the reality star of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” shared a video on Instagram of her 1-year-old daughter Brooklyn Daly learning her flash cards. Brooklyn answered almost every question correctly, so it makes sense that her mother described her daughter as “thriving.”
The three-minute clip began with the Miss USA winner holding flashcards of animals, shapes, and food. Brooklyn looked at an image of an animal and yelled, “monkey.” Kenya asked her again, “What is this one?” Brooklyn quietly said, “monkey.” Kenya showered her daughter with praises. “Yes, monkey,” Kenya said excitedly. Throughout the footage, Kenya showed Brooklyn a photo and Brooklyn answered the question.
Kenya beamed with joy over her daughter’s accomplishments. “@thebrooklyndaly learns her flash cards,” she captioned the video. “My daughter is thriving! She is kind, loving and smart! This is the light in my life I need in such difficult times. #BLM #change #BlackMothersMatter #hope #19 months.”
The Detroit native wasn’t the only person impressed by Brooklyn’s intelligence. “The pronunciation & articulation šš she is so smart and beautifulš©š„°,” one IG user gushed. Seemingly in agreement with the first commentator, someone else wrote: “Smart as a button. Sheesh that wore me out! š¤£šš¼.”
Kenya shares her pride and joy with her husband Marc Daly. The couple got married in 2017 and had their daughter the following year. Kenya announced in a 2019 interview with People that she and Marc were separated. As of late, Marc has been spending his shelter-in-place days running his restaurant in New York while Kenya and her daughter are still living in Atlanta.
Despite their estranged relationship, the hair care mogul revealed in a recent interview with US Weekly that she wanted to have more kids with him. “Itās a conversation that weāre still trying to figure out, honestly. But I really feel, more and more, that I do [want to]. Time is ticking, and I want them to be close in age and ā¦ itās a sensitive subject,” she said.
