Rapper Ludacris‘ firstborn, Karma Christine Bridges, is far from a baby now as she and her family celebrate her recent high school graduation. Fans taking in photos of the bright-eyed Paideia alumna and her proud father were taken aback by how quickly time has flown by.
The girl dad — who also shares 5-year-old daughter Cadence with wife Eudoxie and 6-year-old daughter Cai from a brief romance — shared his joy with the world on social on Monday, June 1.
“The future will look brighter through our children. I promise to fight for that! Congrats to @karma.christine Daddy couldn’t be more proud🙏🏾 ,” read the “Rollout” rapper’s message to his daughter.
Followers flooded his comments with congratulations, as well as remarks about the father and daughter’s resemblance.
“Beautiful your twin.”
“She looks so much like you never realized that before!,” wrote some.
The only thing overshadowing the shock of how much the graduate looks like her father was the shock of accepting that the once little girl is now a young adult.
“OMG I remember you used to mention her in your raps she all grown up now”
“Omg that was fast.!! Congrats 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Karma👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾”
“I remember when you were talking about a little baby in your music but now she’s a woman. Good job dad💯”
“You know you’re old with your favorite rapper’s kids are graduating. Lol”
“Wow i remember her as a toddler in your video 😩.”
At only 18 the soon-to-be-college student has more stamps in her passport than most adults. She, along with her siblings, even has citizenship in her stepmother’s home country of Gabon.
Even with her jet-setting opportunities, the eldest of the Bridges girls won’t be going far as she furthers her education at Spelman College in Atlanta.
“All of the Spelmanites in my life are screaming with joy! Thank you, thank you, A MILLION thank yous to my parents, my sisters, my teachers, my tatas, my aunties, my uncles, my nenas, and my friends for preparing me for this next stage in my life. I have a village of people rooting for me and I thank God for all of you,” wrote Bridges on Instagram as she announced her college plans. She added that the moment was made sweeter by being able to follow in her mother Christine White’s footsteps.
