Ever since Tammy Rivera and rapper Waka Flocka met in 2011 and married in 2014, they have been considered one of the most popular couples in entertainment.
On Sunday, May 31, Rivera, 33, gave her husband Waka, 34, the sweetest birthday shout-out on Instagram. She chose a sultry photo of them and wrote, “Happy 34th birthday to my other half, my partner, my soul mate, my friend, my husband…. you rollin I’m riding, shot gun forever! @wakaflocka I love you ❤️”
The sensual snapshot showed the couple hugging each other while seemingly shirtless, and the “No Hands” rapper posing with a slight smirk on his face. Instagram followers commented on Rivera’s picture, with one fan writing “This is such a beautiful picture 🔥. Y’all look so good together ❤️ love how happy yall are.” A second user wrote, “This pic 😍. Whew yall are one sexy a– couple 😩. Yess love y’all , my twin couple”
Other folks showered Waka with birthday wishes. “Happy BDay WFF Waka Flocka Flame the legend makin money N that green N crown U a baller, grindin, hustlin keep bein gucci time level up N keep shining/climbing♊🎁,” said a follower. Another commented, “Damn Waka young ! Though he wasn’t at least 40! Happy Birthday 🎈 love you two together.”
Rivera and Waka decided to renew their vows in January 2019 after five years of marriage. Since the couple legally married in 2014 without a ceremony, they chose to have a luxurious beach wedding in Mexico, surrounded by all of their friends and family.
The couple separated for a brief period of time in June 2016 due to Waka’s infidelities, but eventually reconciled. Rivera spoke out about their separation to Essence magazine in 2017 and said, “One thing I can say that’s hard about repairing a marriage when it’s been broken is the trust part. Being able to trust them because once you’ve faced infidelity, it’s hard. Having a positive mindset really helped me because if you think nothing but positive thoughts then that’s what’s going to happen. But he changed completely.”
The pair do not share any children together, but Rivera does have Charlie, 14, from a previous relationship. However, Waka accepts the teen as his own daughter and has helped raised her since she was five years old.
