Kenya Moore of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” came under fire from fans for nearly destroying her friendship with Cynthia Bailey during season 12. While the ladies seemed to have moved past their drama, the final reunion episode reminded fans that their friendship was not always peaches and cream.
Part three of the “RHOA” reunion aired on Sunday, May 24. One of the biggest story lines during the episode was Moore’s complex relationship with Bailey. During part one of the special Porsha Williams expressed that she believed Moore was a fake friend to Bailey. Williams revealed that she had text message evidence that proved Moore was talking about Bailey behind her back. The founder of Pampered by Porsha hinted that Moore came for Bailey all season.
Toward the beginning of the season, Kandi Burruss told Moore that Bailey’s fiancée Mike Hill was going to propose to Bailey as a surprise. At the event, Moore ruined the surprise by telling Bailey that she believed Hill was going to propose to her that night.
Bailey forgave Moore throughout the season, but she implied at the reunion that Moore was shady for damaging her proposal. Moore explained during the Bravo special that she did not intentionally mean to ruin Bailey’s proposal, hinting that she was excited for her friend to get married.
Another time Moore stirred up drama with the Bailey Wine Cellar owner was during their cast trip to Greece. While the ladies were on vacation, Moore implied to Bailey that she should not be selling wine because she was not an expert in making wine. At the end of the episode, Moore apologized to her friend for insulting her business. During the reunion, Moore shared that she was teasing Bailey, suggesting that she took the joke too far.
Moore also ambushed Tanya Sam, a friend of the show, by bringing Shiana White to lunch with Sam and the other ladies. White, who owns a bakery in Atlanta, claimed that Sam’s fiancé Paul Judge was flirting with her. At the time, Moore blamed Bailey for setting up the confrontation between White and Sam.
Prior to the lunch, Bailey invited White to Moore’s event to confront Sam. Bailey shared at the reunion that she was not serious about White’s invitation, claiming that she would have warned Sam before ever ambushing her.
Bailey revealed during the final reunion episode that she forgave Moore for how she treated her during this season. However, she expressed that she called Moore out on her behavior in private instead of on camera.
Some “RHOA” fans dragged Moore for her excuses during the reunion.
The season 12 finale has officially wrapped, but it’s unclear when the ladies will begin to film season 13. According to TMZ, Yovanna Momplaisir, a former friend of Nene Leakes, will return as a full-time cast member next season.
