Tami Roman has considered herself an “honorary” member of the Braxton family for years now, so it makes sense that she would tackle the Toni Braxton singing challenge. The internet phenomenon, which was created by R&B singer Babyface, has led to thousands of people imitating the “Living Legend’s” singing style.
On Wednesday, May 20, the former cast member of “Basketball Wives” posted a video on Instagram that showed her singing Braxton’s hit single, “He Wasn’t Man Enough.” Wearing a black baseball cap and a black hoodie, the 50-year-old Roman said, “So Tamar said there was a Toni Braxton challenge going on and you know I am an honorary Braxton. We’ve discussed this a million times already. So..uh..let me just get on up in here.” Toward the middle of the clip, Roman emulated Braxton’s voice. “I…I am a Braxton. They just forgot about me,” she concluded.
Over 282,000 people watched Roman’s performance and many fans claimed to be surprised by Roman’s “spot-on” impersonation of Braxton.
“Omg you actually did better than I thought ππΎππΎππΎππΎππΎ.”

Roman has been in the music industry since the early ’90s. The reality star was one of four members in the former girl group “Reality.” The group was created in 1993, but the name was changed to “Female” in 1994. Signed under Mercury Records, the women scored a feature on the soundtrack album for the 1995 historical film “Panther.” Roman’s passion appears to be music. During season 8 of “BBW,” she revealed that she was focusing on starting a rap career.
