T.I. is extremely open about parenting his children.
In a recent interview with fellow rapper Too Short, the “U Don’t Know Me” musician said having daughters changed him as a father. He described it as “beautiful,” yet frightening. T.I. also said he believes that his daughters have become his “karma” for his past playboy actions with women.
“What I will say is having a daughter will change s–t. It’s the most beautiful, brilliant, complex, scary, frightening thing because karma comes around,” T.I. told Too Short in an Instagram Live session. “And you know, usually, people like us who have always had a way with women, when they have daughters, the daughters become, they become karma. How you deal with that, it will test you. And you gon’ have to rise to the occasion.”
T.I.’s comments sparked several reactions from fans.
“Too many people learning (or not learning) through karma, instead of their parents advice. But I see all the time it be like that. Lol”
“🧐🤨🙄 these fboys don’t change! It’s ok for you to dog women for years still dog his wife. His kids his karma alrite”
“TI daughters are not women yet! They are barely legal … when they fully mature they will be disgusted their dad”
“That’s why he be doing them hymen checks…Karma”
T.I. has three daughters: Deyjah, 18, and Heiress Harris, 4, and his stepdaughter Zonnique Pullins, 23.
As many know, the “Live Your Life” rapper came under fire last November after making some interesting comments about his daughter Deyjah’s virginity. He admitted to going to the teen’s gynecologist’s appointments with her to confirm her “hymen” was still intact to ensure she was virgin.
T.I. later apologized to his daughter on Jada Pinkett Smith‘s “Red Table Talk.” He said on the Facebook series, “She did have a problem with me talking about it and I understand that and I am incredibly apologetic to her for that.”
On the current season of “T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle,” Deyjah finally broke her silence on the entire incident and how it’s impacted her life. She said on the trailer, “After all of this, it’s changed, honestly.”
