Tiny Harris‘ relationship with her mother-in-law hasn’t always been perfect. Harris revealed on the Monday, April 20, episode of “T.I. & Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle” that T.I.‘s mother, Violeta Morgan, wasn’t always a fan of Harris dating her son. The singer from the girl group “Xscape” expressed that she thought her light complexion played a factor in Morgan not accepting her.
Harris, a native of the Atlanta suburb of College Park, is biracial. Her mother is white and her father is Black. “I honestly felt like I think I was too white when I came around,” she said in her confessional. “They were looking like, ‘Who is this white girl? What? Get her out of here.’ I’m like, ‘I am Black, lady,’” she added.
T.I. claimed that his mother was the leading lady in his life when he and Harris started dating, implying that Tiny’s racial background was never a concern for his mom. The rapper said in his own confessional, “My mama was always the only woman in my life. And when there was another woman that came in, they began to lock horns, if you will.”
The “Live Your Life” lyricist explained that his mother likes Harris now. Harris, a Grammy Award winner for Best R&B Song, and T.I. started dating in 2001 and tied the knot in 2010. Fans have admired their relationship for years now, claiming they are the epitome of a power couple.

Harris explained that she was not interested in T.I. when he initially tried to pursue her nearly 20 years ago. At the time, he was 21 years old, while she was 26. She admitted that she stood him up a few times and did not take him seriously. Harris was a well-established singer-songwriter, while T.I. was just an up-and-coming rapper in 2001. She revealed that she had a change of heart after seeing just how seriously people in the music industry were taking T.I.’s career. Together they have a blended family of seven children.
The couple share three children together in 15-year-old King Harris, 11-year-old Major Harris, and their youngest daughter, 4-year-old Heiress Harris. T.I. has three children from previous relationships in Messiah Harris, Domani Harris, and Deyjah Harris. The songwriter has a 24-year-old daughter, Zonnique Pullins, from a previous relationship as well.
