Charmaine Walker is still heartbroken over her late mother’s death.
Walker’s mother, Glenda Walker, died last October from what the “Black Ink Crew: Chicago” star has said was a heart attack. Walker said she’s thought about her mother every day since her death.
In an emotional Instagram post Walker posted on Tuesday, April 21, she said Thursday, April 23, made six months since her mother died. Since becoming a new mother herself a month ago, Walker said she’s recently been struggling with the loss of her mom.
“Mom passed away 6 months ago coming this Thursday. No matter how long ago, the pain will always be there. Having a baby after losing a mom and having to go through postpartum could make you feel very alone because you lose that important perspective/help,” said the 29-year-old television personality.
“Sometimes I feel like I’m losing control completely,” she continued. “During these times I just try to stay strong and trying to be the best mother I can for my baby girl. I will get stronger. Always looking for your words of wisdom mom. Love you always mom and always asking you for strength.”
Fans related to Walker’s pain and showered her with support.
“One day at a time 🤍 dont put so much pressure on urself you just went through 2 major life changes. There will be days when you want to throw in the towel and thats fine but never allow urself to stay there. You have a beautiful baby girl and your mom rooting for you they know you can do it. Cry it out then thug it out !”
“🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼 @charmainej_tv all things are possible through Jesus Christ, … that includes healing and strength. Stay prayed up my love and we’ll all be here as your support and prayer warriors as well 🙌🏼❤️”
“She’s watching over you Charmaine. Hold on to your faith and let that be your guide. Your Mom is all over your beautiful baby. She’s still here with you. God bless you and your family.”
“Couldn’t even imagine going through anything like that still praying for you and your family 🙏”
Walker and her husband Neek Bey named their now-1-month-old daughter Nola Glenda Bey after the star’s late mom.
On March 15, a day after Walker gave birth, she posted side-by-side images of her daughter and her mother. She wrote, “& I think to myself what a wonderful world 💕”
Fans were blown away by how much the infant resembled Walker’s mother.
“Hey blue eyes and blonde hair … she’s beautiful you literally had your mother 🙌🏽💋❤️. Awww congrats again”
“Omg that is literally your mother😩 she’s always with you 😍 ❤️ she’s so gorgeous”
