Tamar Braxton is securing her bag this year by expanding her reality television roots. Braxton, a reality star from “Braxton Family Values,” revealed on Instagram that she will be hosting a new beauty series titled “To Catch A Beautician.” The singer-songwriter announced her project on Wednesday, April 22, after keeping her new hosting gig a secret for over a year.
Braxton is partnering with celebrity hairstylist Johnny Wright for the show. The dynamic duo will help clients confront their beauticians who damaged their hair. Wright will put the hairstylists through a series of “hair boot camps” so they can learn from their previous mistakes. The hairdressers will get a chance to redeem themselves toward the end of the episode by redoing their clients’ hair.
Braxton received positive feedback from fans about her new job, with Tamartians ecstatic about the prospect of watching the show.

Braxton’s beauty show is not the only project she is working on this year. The “Love and War” hitmaker announced in March that she is starring in her own reality show called “Get Ya Life.” The show will center on Braxton’s personal life and the struggles that come with putting together an album. An exact air date has not yet been released, but the show will premiere sometime in April on We TV.
In addition to starring in reality shows, she has also hosted television shows. She co-hosted the daytime talk show “The Real” with comedian Loni Love, stylist Jeannie Mai, singer Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, and actress Tamera Mowry-Housley for two seasons.
“To Catch A Beautician” is set to debut on Monday, May 25, on VH1. The beauty series will air after the “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” episode.
