It seems “Love and Hip Hop” star Shay “Buckey” Johnson is still spilling tea about her former “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” co-stars Lil Scrappy and Erica Dixon.
While reliving her first appearance on season one’s “LHHATL,” Johnson revealed that she was the reason Lil Scrappy and his ex-girlfriend Erica Dixon was on the show. Amid her commentary for VH1, she revealed that she was supposed to be the main cast member for the rapper’s storyline on the first season, not Dixon.
Johnson claimed she was dating Scrappy at the time when she landed an audition to be on “LHHATL.” When he arrived on set, he brought on Dixon and his mother Momma Dee, something Johnson didn’t know about until the show aired. She said producers apparently gave the father of two an ultimatum between her and Dixon to be “the main character” in his storyline and he chose Dixon because he allegedly wanted her to take him off of child support at the time.
“I put money in your pocket, you got bands because of me and you ex out my position? That’s just how it goes, that’s life, I’ll never trust him again but hey I have no regrets for everything I went through with that man. … I would like the world to know that if it wasn’t for Shay Johnson, little Scrappy would not have been on ‘Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta.’ “
On the first season of “LHHATL,” Johnson and Scrappy had a horrible falling out after the rapper allegedly lied to her about his relationship with Dixon at the time. He supposedly told Johnson while they were dating that he and Dixon were just co-parenting their daughter although they were actually still in a relationship with each other. To make matters worse, Scrappy proposed to Dixon in front of Johnson, which really took a toll on the “LHHMIA” star’s heart.
Although Scrappy and Dixon are no longer together and they’ve both moved on with their lives, several fans accused Johnson of still having feelings for the Atlanta rapper.
