The divorce may be final between singer Monica and her ex-husband and former NBA baller Shannon Brown, but that doesn’t mean the love has to end.
Or does it?
Though the singer did not publicly respond to Brown’s recent interview about there being “a little pavement” leading the way to reconciliation, she may have taken a subtle jab at her ex for possibly talking out the side of his neck.
As the caption for a series of photos showcasing her Burberry threads, she wrote in part, “I immediately squint when someone’s talking & I know they’re full of sh*t…LOL… Moral of this story, is stay Tru to those that stay Tru to you!”
Her fans seemed to pick up what she was dropping in regards to a jab at Brown.

While in his hometown of Chicago for NBA All-Star Weekend, the former Los Angles Lakers point guard briefly spoke on his relationship with the “Angel of Mine” singer.
When asked if he wanted to get back with his ex-wife, Brown responded “She my forever Valentine. You know what I’m sayin’, see Imma get sentimental again. She just a huge part of how I just think about love, I guess.”
Even though the ink on their divorce papers has been dry for months he felt confident enough to publicly throw a lil hope on what could be.
“She show love I try to show it back,” he added before being asked if there was room for a reconciliation. “I mean you know, I think there’s a little pavement I can get into.”
The couple were married for eight years and have one child together, daughter Laiyah Brown. The singer has two sons, Rocko and Romelo, from a previous relationship with rapper Rocko.
