It looks like Monica’s ex-husband Shannon Brown apparently wants his old thing back.
Monica divorced Brown a few months ago and both appeared to be moving on with their lives. It seemed that way until the former Lakers player went on Chicago’s WGCI and expressed that he still had feelings for the “Angel of Mine” singer.
“She’s my forever Valentine,” Brown said, when asked if he wanted to get back with Monica.
“She’s just a huge part of how I think about love. She show love I try to show it back,” he added.
When asked if there was any hope of the former couple reconciling, Brown answered, “I think there’s a little pavement I can get into.”
Monica filed for divorce against the former NBA star last March in Atlanta.
Neither party revealed the cause of their split, but the R&B songtress did confirm on the Ru Paul Show in June that infidelity was not the reason. “Luckily for us, it wasn’t another person that was the issue,” she told Ru.
The former couple married in November 2010 during a private ceremony in Los Angeles. The couple share 5-year-old daughter Laiyah Shannon. Monica also has two sons Rodney Hill, 14, and Romelo Hill, 11, from her previous relationship with rapper Rocko Hill. Brown also has a son Christopher from a previous relationship.
Although the Grammy Award-winning singer and Brown ended their marriage on good terms, fans aren’t here for them getting back together.
