‘Read the People’: Gizelle Bryant, Ex-Husband Jamal Bryant Has a Special Message for Critics Accusing Her of ‘Faking Storylines’

Fans are side-eyeing Gizelle Bryant‘s renewed romance with ex-hubby Pastor Jamal Bryant. However, the couple seems unbothered by the naysayers and trolled them in a recent social media post.

The “Real Housewives of Potomac” star wished fans a “Happy Valentine’s Day” on Instagram as she posed alongside her lover and father to her three daughters. The pair, who’ve had a rocky history, stood side by side in color-coordinated T-shirts that read “The Storyline” and “The Plot”—- an apparent jab at claims Gizelle is using their relationship for a storyline on the reality TV show.

The post, which garnered nearly 40,000 likes, sparked an immediate reaction from fans.

“Yasssssss!!!!! Read the people!!!!!” one fan commented. “Get your news! Don’t play me, play lotto!”

“Okay then control the narrative baby and bring us good TV 🔥” someone else chimed in.

Several others gushed over how so “very cute” the Bryants were since reuniting. The couple has made great strides in the wake of their divorce in 2009, which was the result of Jamal’s infidelity. They were married for eight years.

“Happy happy LOVE Day ♥️♥️♥️,” fellow “Real Housewives” star Tanya Sam wrote.

Another fan agreed: “I’m here for it! All of ittttttt!! Love you guys together ❤️”

Not everyone was convinced, however, as some were left with more questions than answers. Some even accused the former first lady of faking a romance with the metro Atlanta pastor for more TV time.

“Girl ain’t you over there faking story lines?” one critic opined, adding: “Word on the streeet!”

Rumors swirled that the pair were possibly getting back together after Gizelle and Jamal were spotted together at one of comic Dave Chappelle‘s stand-ups last year. Gizelle, 49, addressed the whispers on an episode of “Watch What Happens Live!” saying at the time that the two were “great friends.”

“We’re very close. We have a great relationship,” she told a viewer who called in to ask about their relationship. “You know, we’re great. But we’re not officially back together or anything like that, but we are great friends.”

It seems their friendship only strengthened from there, as Gizelle was right by her man’s side when he was named head pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. The megachurch, located in the metro Atlanta suburb of Lithonia, was previously led by interim pastor Bishop Stephen A. Davis of Birmingham, Alabama, after the death of its longtime leader Bishop Eddie Long, who passed away in 2017.

The reality star and her ex have both addressed the pastor’s cheating and seem ready to move forward—- even if their fans don’t agree.

“You know, that was 11 years ago!” Gizelle said. “Let it go, people! He’s talked about it, I’ve talked about it. Let it go, people!”
