‘You’re Joking Right’: Tami Roman Stumps Everyone With Her Appearance at Mona Scott-Young’s Bash in New Orleans

Tami Roman shook fans on Sunday when she appeared at Mona Scott-Young‘s Royal Gala party dripped in gold and dressed like royalty. Young’s gala took place in New Orleans and was put on to bring in the Mardi Gras festivities as well as celebrate Young’s new title as the “SheKing,” which was given to her by the Treme Sidewalk Steppers Club.

Treme is a popular neighborhood in the city of New Orleans, and the Treme Sidewalk Steppers Club hosted their 26th annual parade last week with reality show executive Mona Scott-Young in attendance. During her time in New Orleans, Young threw her Royal Gala, which many reality stars attended in honor of Young’s big night. Friends and family all celebrated her for being the SheKing, butBasketball Wivesstar Roman stood out the most to fans.

In an Instagram post posted by Roman, viewers can see her strutting down a walkway at the Gala in a gold dress with a gold hair piece and her hands in the air. Fans took to the ‘Gram to express how they felt about Roman’s appearance.

One user said, “You are so beautiful… Keep representing for the black queens.”

“Cute Ma,” comedian Loni Love commented.

Other people were confused about the gala.

“Sheking? C’mon now wit da BS. Couldn’t just be a Queen. Wow🤦”

“Your joking right. Smh,” another user stated.

“I thought this was a joke..😰….skit?? 🤷🏾‍♀️🙆🏾‍♀️😂..oh wow @tamiroman,” a third stated.

Last year Roman signed an overall deal with Scott-Young and her production company Monami Productions to produce unscripted and scripted content. According to Deadline, their first project together, “Tami Ever After,” focused on Roman’s relationship with her then-fiancé Reggie Youngblood. The show premiered on VH1 last year, but the two still have more recent projects in the works. The pair are teaming up to produce a docuseries called “Queen City” and “Big City Houston.”

Last year, Roman took to the ‘Gram to say, “OMG! I’m so excited to be apart of the Monami family & ready for my projects Queen City & Big Oil Houston to come to fruition under @monascottyoung or “Muvaaa” as I like to call her 😂😂😂.”

Roman announced she was officially leaving “Basketball Wives” last year.
