For every step forward Kandi Burruss’ husband Todd Tucker and his mother-in-law, Mama Joyce, manage to take, it seems as though they take at least two steps back in the blink of an eye.
Such is the case now that Mama Joyce is singing a new tale of concern over Tucker not being qualified as a beneficiary in the event something were to happen to her or her daughter.
In a preview for episode 13 of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Burruss tells her husband that Mama Joyce has elected to designate her granddaughter Riley Burruss as her beneficiary.
“‘Then I’ll put you [Burruss] after Riley because I’m sure Riley will make sure her little brother and sister are still taken care of,’” said Burruss of the conversation with her mother.
An unfazed Tucker was not the least bit surprised by his mother-in-law yet again taking an unprovoked jab at him.
“She probably more concerned about herself,” said the television show producer.
“My mother and Todd have had a long and unfortunate history,” said Burruss. “Things have started to go backwards again, and I don’t know what to do,” she added.
Since Tucker came into the picture seven years ago, fans have watched Mama Joyce throw a fit time and time again over her daughter ‘marrying down’, Tucker not bringing enough to the table when he met Burruss, and, more recently, claims that all he does is spend her daughter’s hard-earned money.
On social media it seemed as though fans were siding with the 70-year-old grandmother.
“I don’t blame her”
“None of us trust his little ass!”
“I’m starting not to trust him either”
Some even added that his strained relationship with daughter Kaela Tucker is enough evidence for Mama Joyce to feel the way she does.
“Well Todd barely making sure his own daughter taken care of so I don’t blame Mama Joyce.”
