Cynthia Bailey fans are offering their support after the reality star’s husband-to-be opened up about his infidelity in past relationships.
“I think I’m getting Mike [Hill] at the best time right now, but he has cheated on his wives before me,” Bailey reveals in a sneak peek of a new episode of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” set to air Sunday.
The former model and Hill, a sportscaster for Fox Sports 1, have been going strong since meeting on comedian Steve Harvey‘s talk show in April 2018 and are now headed down the aisle after just 14 months of dating.
The lovebirds seem happier than ever since their engagement last year, however, news of Hill’s cheating threw many for a loop. In the clip from Sunday night’s episode, Hill admits he was a different man before he met Bailey, 52.
“If she would’ve met me three years ago, it was a different Mike,” he began. “Two years ago, (he) was kinda still finding himself.”
“It’s important for me, because I do have daughters, to reveal some of these things,” Hill added. “I’ve told them these things, I’ve been open about that with them because they’re older. Their moms, I’ve apologized to them for the things and transgressions I’ve made in the past.”
This time, Hill is making it his mission to “do things the right way.
Fans have since offered Bailey words encouragement after the startling revelation, seemingly out of fear that it might give her cold feet.
“He’s being open darling,” an Instagram user commented under the video. “Be grateful he’s in this place in his life.”
“They not YOU …” wrote another, reminding Bailey that her experience with Mike is much different than that of his ex-wives.
“I’m glad he wants to do right by her,” a fan agreed, adding: “I hope they stay together forever.”
Someone else offered a thoughtful take on the situation: To the “People saying once a cheater always a cheater … just remember you too have a past. Are you ALWAYS your transgressions? People have the capability to evolve. Stop trying [to] place your limitations on others, especially people you really don’t know.”
Meanwhile, others still urged the reality star to remain cautious.
“A wise person once told me, once a cheater always a cheater,” one critic wrote.
Another agreed, writing: “Cynthia watch out…just pray that GOD has change his ways..praying for you..”
One user put it simply: “Run Cynthia.”
