‘Half of Me Is in Heaven’: Lauren London Opens Up About Entering a New Year Without Nipsey Hussle

Perhaps not surprisingly, Lauren London reflected on her late boyfriend Nipsey Hussle in a year-end Instagram post.

Hussle, whom she shared a son with, was gunned down on March 31, 2019, in front of his Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles. And on New Year’s Eve, the actress wrote about living life without him and trying to go on.

“2019 changed the rest of my Life. My existence shifted. Half of me is in Heaven and the other half is here to pick up and continue,” wrote London on Instagram Story. “Things will never be the same but everyday I still wake up and Pray Lord, Use Me. Long Live Ermias.”

London also shared a photo of herself and Hussle at a New Year’s Eve celebration that took place last year.

“Last year NYE. Hussle and Boog,” she captioned the image.

The comments that came after London shared her post were filled with kind words and empathy. Plus, many said they miss seeing her with Hussle.

“My heart still hurts for her💙 I adored them so much,” one Instagram user wrote.

“Man I feel for her. Stay strong queen,” wrote someone else. “You got this. His marathon will continue 💙🏁.”

“If my heart has never hurt for anyone…it hurts for her and his family,” a third person commented.

And another fan encouraged London to keep being strong and wrote, “👏 hold it together baby girl you are doing amazing.”

The man arrested for Hussle’s murder, Eric Holder, is currently behind bars, and he’s pleaded not guilty to one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon. And he’s still awaiting trial.
