“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” saw Kenya Moore’s husband Marc Daly make his official debut on the show since a very brief appearance on season 10.
But his welcome was not a warm one among fans.

Moore explained Daly visits Atlanta from New York every seven to 10 days and he made it clear where he puts wife of two years in comparison to Brooklyn Doris Daly, the 1-year-old daughter he shares with Moore. The returning “RHOA” star discussed plans to celebrate Daly’s birthday together with just the two of them but that’s not how the Soco restaurant owner hoped to spend his special day.
“You and I alone? Without you?” he said, looking at Brooklyn. “Nahhh! You’re No. 1!”
“I’m supposed to be No. 1. Who’s No. 1? Me or Brooklyn?” Moore asked her now-estranged husband.
After Daly attempted to evade the question by asking if she meant the New York borough or the African country, Moore remained firm. Yet Daly changed the subject, asking his nonspeaking baby girl if she just said “Daddy.”
“I miss being a girlfriend,” Moore said in a confessional scene. “Now that Brooklyn is here, I’m very much a mother and I’m a good wife, but I don’t know if the girlfriend is there, and I know that’s very important to a relationship.”
The moment resulted in a major backlash from viewers who hurled all sorts of names at the New York-based restaurateur.
“Marc and Kenya was painful to watch. Kenya should be number 1 in his life. Smh. #RHOA”
“Although Kenya probably shouldn’t have asked Marc if she was more important than Brooklyn, I think his reaction spoke volumes #RHOA”
“Marc is being rude and passive aggressive as F–K. #RHOA”
“I am not feeling the dismissive and hypercritical way that Marc treats Kenya. #RHOA”
It seems Moore tried to quell the backlash by tweeting of the scene, “I thought it was fun to see how Marc would answer. 😆🙉#RHOA.”
Fans, however, were not buying it.
“Fun is not the word I would use. It was sad to watch you be so desperate for the answers he was not giving you. Praying for your relationship.”
“Really? I think the majority think it’s sad, really sad, the way he treats you..you deserve better..”
Moore and Daly announced they were splitting up in September but she later told People magazine that they have yet to actually file for a divorce.
“I didn’t get married to quit,” Moore told the publication of her desire to work things out with her husband. “I love my husband. I don’t doubt that he loves me… I believe in for better and for worse and I believe in trying it all before you walk away, especially when we do have a child and we are a family.”
However, when the estranged spouses announced their split, Moore said in a statement that she’d make Brooklyn her priority.
“My sole concern and focus is and will always be my daughter, Brooklyn, my miracle baby,” she said.
